I felt it was important to give you an update with the negotiations that have been taking place with our main funding partner, Sport England, following the submission in October of our Whole Sport Plan from April 2013 to March 2017 and other documents required by them.

At the ETTA AGM the motion to increase the membership fees to £10 was defeated  - 10411 in favour and 30424 against.

Therefore the ETTA  fees for next season will remain at last season rates , i.e. £6.00 for seniors and £3.00 for juniors.

Bristol Table Tennis Academy Club is running a summer training Camp in August. It is opened to players of all age who want to improve their techniques and games. The camp will be coached by the ETTA qualified coaches and academy players.

There will be a level 1 UKCC coaching course at Deer Park, Cirencester on Sunday 23 September and Sunday 4 November.  This is for anyone who would like to become a qualified table tennis coach.  Participants will be required to attend both days.

There will be a bat and rubber testing evening at Deer Park, Cirencester on Monday 10 September 2012 from 7 – 10pm.  The cost is £3 per player. Note that this has been rearranged from 17th Sept due to a double booking.

The Gloucestershire County Closed Table Tennis tournament was held at Deer Park School, Cirencester on Sunday 6th January. There was a good turnout this year and the standard of play was excellent.

In the Masters competition Gordon Shaw was the winner over Tom Watmore.

Bristol Academy is organising another half term camp in June on 6th & 7th June 2012. Previous camps proved to be quite popular especially for the adult group. It will be on a first come first serve basis.
